1.3 Information on the virus scanner
Recently, our hotline has been confronted with an increasing number of
problems in connection with virus scanner programs. For this reason, we
would like to list some points that you should take into consideration:
 Temporary program files (in the NOISY program directory) should be
located in a directory which is not scanned by the antivirus program. So-
called exemption lists can be defined in the antivirus programs. It is
advisable to store the temporary program files to one of these excluded
directories.
 The NOISY project should also be stored to a directory which is exempt
from the virus scan (project directory in Configure Measurement
Parameters | Record Data).
Problems with virus scanners can have the following consequences:
 In the worst case, data loss during measurement or data import.
 Relatively long response times or very long calculating times in NOISY.
